3, including 2 suspected drug gang members, arrested in Camarines Norte
LEGAZPI CITY—Two alleged drug gang members and another suspect were arrested during a police operation in the town of Daet, Camarines Norte early on Wednesday (Jan. 27).
Lt. Col. Chito Oyardo, Daet police chief, said the suspected drug gang members—Christian Pahigal, 35 and Jaeson Lee, 40—and the third suspect were arrested at the village of Pamorangan in Daet around 11 a.m.
Oyardo said Pahigal and Lee were identified as members of the Rey Gutierrez Drug Group, a drug gang presumably named after its leader, which is operating in the province.
The anti-narcotics team recovered six packets of suspected shabu, or crystal meth from the two drug gang suspects.
Police serving a search warrant caught Hila, a visitor of the two drug gang suspects, throwing away a packet of shabu.
Authorities confiscated a total of 20 grams of idrugs worth P100,000.
