MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines ranked fifth in countries with the highest number of women in a managerial role, according to studies.

Based on the Labor Force Survey (LFS) report conducted by ILO in 2019, most women in the Philippines are in management levels with business support functions. This includes management jobs in the fields of human resources, administration, finance, marketing, or public relations.

Women are over-represented in the sector as a whole and make up as many as two-thirds of employees in data processing and around three-quarters of those working in medical transcription,” said Niall McCarthy, Statista’s data journalist, noting data from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
