Muntinlupa offers P200K reward for info on gunman who killed traffic enforcer
MANILA, Philippines — The Muntinlupa City government on Wednesday offered a P200,000 bounty to anyone who could give information on the location of the man who shot dead a city traffic enforcer on Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau (MTMB) traffic enforcer Daniel Manalo, 36, who was gunned down along National Road in Barangay Tunasan at 7:30 p.m.
“To report any information about the identity and whereabouts of the suspect, the public may coordinate with Muntinlupa City Police Station at 0998 967 4531,” read the statement from Muntinlupa Public Information Office.
The statement earlier showed P100,000 bounty was offered but in an updated Facebook post, the reward was increased to P200,000.

Police said Manalo was calling someone from his cellphone when the unidentified assailant shot him to the head. Manalo died on the spot while the suspect fled on foot, according to witnesses.

Article continues after this advertisementMTMB director Danidon Nolasco said the traffic enforcer assisted the local government’s program to clear roads of obstructions, which is the requirement of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG).
City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi condemned the killing of Manalo, saying it “it was an insult to public office workers who were only carrying out their duties.”
Fresnedi, likewise, said that he would provide cash assistance to Manalo’s family.
