SC to resume terror law debate online
The oral arguments on the 37 petitions against the antiterror law will resume two weeks after the lifting of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila and will be held virtually, the Supreme Court (SC) announced on Thursday. According to the Supreme Court clerk of court, the succeeding oral arguments will be done through videoconferencing with live audio streaming made available to the public either on April 27, May 4 or May 11. It added that technical details and the rules on videoconferencing will be announced later. The high court started conducting oral arguments on the petitions on Feb. 2. The petitioners have already finished presenting their arguments. It will be the turn of the government, through the Office of the Solicitor General, to present its arguments. —TINA G. SANTOS
