Alleged robbery gang boss slain in Cavite
LUCENA CITY –– An alleged leader of a robbery group was shot dead by two assailants in General Trias town in Cavite province on Thursday, May 6, police said Friday.
The Police Regional Office, in a report, identified the victim as Mark Joseph Santiago, the alleged leader of a robbery gang named after him.
The report did not indicate where the Santiago robbery group operates.
The police said Santiago was shot in the head by one of the two gunmen at the Tropical village subdivision around 8:30 a.m. The victim died instantly.
The suspects, later identified as Orac Alonto and Mohammad Ampaso, escaped after the shooting, the police said.
Investigators have yet to establish the motive behind the killing, said the report. INQ
