Fire hits residential area in Pasig; evacuation centers set up for 72 families
MANILA, Philippines — A fire that lasted for almost four hours razed a residential area in Barangay San Miguel in Pasig City on Wednesday, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The fire reached the second alarm at 7:33 pm. It was put under control at 9:47 p.m. and declared out at 11:00 p.m.
In a Facebook post, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said the city had designated evacuation centers for at least 72 families who lost their homes.
As of 11pm fire out na sa Tambakan 3 San Miguel. 72 pamilya ang unang bilang ng naapektuhan ng sunog.
Salamat sa BFP DRRMO at volunteer firefighters na mabilis rumesponde. Nakapag set up na ng evacuation area. Pumasok rin ang Community Kitchen crew para magluto ng hot meals.
