CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando has lifted the liquor ban throughout the province after its quarantine category was downgraded.

Bulacan was previously under a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), which is the second most stringent community quarantine category in the country. The province was however placed under the less restrictive general community quarantine (GCQ) on May 15.

The liquor ban was supposed to end on May 31, but it was cut short by an executive order issued by Fernando on May 19 (Wednesday).

Alcoholic beverages and other forms of liquor can now be purchased between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Purchased liquor however should not be served and consumed in commercial and public places including hotels, inns, and similar establishments, Fernando said.
