2 slain, 2 wounded in knife attack in Ilocos Sur

BAGUIO CITY –– Two persons died, and two others were wounded when a knife-wielding man ran amok inside their house in Cabugao town, Ilocos Sur, police said Thursday, June 3.
The suspect was identified as Michael Gaspar, a resident of Barangay Catucdaan.
The police said the victims were the suspect’s relatives, and the motive could be a longtime feud.
Investigators said Gaspar had been harboring a grudge against his relatives, who would speak ill of him before his wife, who works abroad.
Killed in the attack were the suspect’s father-in-law, identified as Demetrio Baclic Sevilleja, 44, and brother-in-law, identified as Michael Sevilleja, 23.
