MANILA, Philippines — Isolated rain showers are expected in the country on Saturday due to southwest monsoon or “habagat” and localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported.

The state weather bureau said the southwest monsoon will continue to affect Northern and Central Luzon, particularly the Ilocos region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.
