Aurora’s active COVID-19 cases down by 70 percent in 2 weeks
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—The active COVID-19 cases in Aurora province have gone down by 70 percent in two weeks, the provincial emergency operations center reported Sunday.
From 170 on June 24, the active cases dropped to only 51 on July 11.
Of the 1,980 total COVID-19 cases, 1,860 had recovered, reflecting a 94-percent recovery rate. At least 69 people in the province had died of the viral disease.
On Sunday, the provincial government of Aurora recorded five new cases, eight recoveries, and zero deaths.
San Luis town has the most active cases at 17, followed by Maria Aurora town at nine, and the capital town of Baler with eight.
Article continues after this advertisementDingalan and Dipaculao towns both have six active cases, Casiguran has three, and one each in Dilasag and Dinalungan.
The provincial government has urged Aurora residents to continue observing health protocols like wearing face masks and face shields, physical distancing, and frequent hand washing.
