Construction worker nabbed in Oriental Mindoro buy-bust

CITY OF CALAPAN—Police arrested a construction worker in a buy-bust operation Thursday in Puerto Galera town in Oriental Mindoro province, according to a report from the provincial police office.

Police arrested Dhelmark Jude Parilla, 25, after selling at 12:30 p.m. a sachet of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana for P500 to a poseur buyer in Barangay Balatero.

Also confiscated from the suspect were five sachets of suspected marijuana weighing about 1.5 grams and valued at P4,000.

The suspect is under police custody and faces charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
