Former Sen. Trillanes’ brother succumbs to COVID-19 complications

MANILA, Philippines — The brother of former senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV passed away on Saturday due to COVID-19 complications.

He was 51 years old.

 “It is with deep sadness that I announce the sudden demise of my brother Antonio “Tiny” Trillanes III,” Trillanes announced in a Facebook post.

 “He died of complications due to COVID past midnight today, August 21,” he added.

Earlier this month, the senator also lost his mother Estelita Fuentes Trillanes at 87, due to her Parkinson’s condition. 

 The Trillanes matriarch died on the former senator’s birth anniversary.
