Manila set to build ‘Basecommunity’ Phase 2 — Isko Moreno

MANILA, Philippines — Phase 2 of Manila’s ‘BaseCommunity’ public housing project is set to rise soon.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno bared this during a dialogue with officials of Barangay (village) 649 at the BaseCommunity on Friday.

“May Phase 2 na ang Basecommunity … lahat ‘yan hangga’t nandito ako, hindi ako titigil maayos ko lang ang buhay ninyo,” Moreano told the village officials.

The local government said a hospital is also expected to be built within the vicinity of the BaseCommunity.

BaseCommunity, which broke ground in December 2020, is one of Manila’s flagship housing projects.

It is composed of 229 two-story townhouse-style units, each with a total of 42 square meters of living space. The occupation of the units started in July.
