PDP-Laban Cusi wing names 8 officials in initial senatorial slate

MANILA, Philippines — The ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) has announced the names of eight incumbent senators for the 2022 elections.
The following party members were announced as the official senatorial candidates during the PDP-Laban national assembly on Wednesday:
Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III
Presidential Legal Counsel Secretary Salvador Panelo
Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade
Leyte 4th District Lucy Torres-Gomez
Eight other officials from other parties were invited as guest candidates:
Presidential spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque
Public Works Secretary Mark Villar
Anti-corruption commission Chairperson Greco Belgica
Sagip party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta
During the convention, PDP-Laban also confirmed that Senator Bong Go and President Rodrigo Duterte would be their presidential and vice presidential candidate.
Article continues after this advertisementGo and Duterte are the second tandem to launch their possible candidacy after Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senate President Vicente Sotto III announced their bid before Wednesday noon.
Aside from the names mentioned, other possible presidential candidates include Vice President Leni Robredo, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
