Diesel, gasoline pump prices up for 5th week

MANILA, Philippines — Oil companies raised pump prices for the fifth straight week, this time by 90 centavos per liter of diesel and 55 centavos per liter of gasoline as global crude supply continues to miss production targets.

Caltex increased prices at 12:01 a.m. while Petron, Shell, Seaoil, Total, Phoenix and PTT followed at 6 a.m.

Petron, Shell, Caltex and Seaoil likewise raised prices of kerosene by 95 centavos per liter. Dubai crude oil rose to $72.35 per barrel as of Sept. 23 from $72.07 per barrel a week ago.
