BACOLOD CITY鈥撯�揟en Shih Tzus, including four puppies, died Thursday, Oct. 14, in a fire that hit a room of a building in Bacolod City.
Only two Shih Tzus named Peachy and Cotton survived.
Chief Inspector Rodel Legaspi, city fire marshal, said they received the fire alarm at 11:57 a.m. and placed it under control at 12:06 p.m.
The fire, which began in the bedroom of spouses Noel and Jane Chu on the third floor, was believed to be 鈥渆lectrical in nature.鈥�
鈥淭he owner informed us that there was an electrical outlet in the room that had experienced a short circuit before,鈥� Legaspi said.
The damage was initially placed at P100,000.
