Angeles City logs zero new COVID-19 case in 2 days

This city registered zero new COVID-19 case in two consecutive days as its number of active infections further dropped to 21, data showed.

ANGELES CITY — This city registered zero new COVID-19 case in two consecutive days as its number of active infections further dropped to 21 on Wednesday (Nov. 17), local data showed. In its latest bulletin, the city government registered no new cases, three recoveries and zero deaths on the same day. The same numbers were recorded on Nov. 16. The city’s active cases stood at 28 two weeks ago. Only  12 of its 33 villages in the city have active COVID-19 cases, the same data showed. These include Capaya, Sto. Cristo and Tabun with three active cases each; Balibago, Margot and Sapangbato with two active cases each; and Cutcut, Ninoy Aquino, Pandan, Pulung Maragul, Sapalibutad, and Sto. Domingo with a single case each. Angeles has recorded a total of 12,525 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 11,985 have recovered while 519 have died. As of Nov. 15, some 216,180 or 46.6 percent of this city’s total population of 462,928 (based on the 2020 census) have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. At least 269,504 persons or 58.2 percent of the population have also received their initial dose of the vaccines.
