LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — The government of Ilocos Norte has set aside P5 million from its calamity fund to extend help to hog raisers and farmers who had been reeling from the impact of the African swine fever (ASF).

At least 325 of the 2,300 uninsured farmers from 11 areas in the province would benefit from the allocated fund, said Dr. Loida Valenzuela, provincial veterinarian, during the regular session of the provincial board on Monday, November 22.
