Baybay, Ormoc cities now COVID-free, officials say
TACLOBAN CITY — The cities of Baybay and Ormoc, both in Leyte and Maasin in Southern Leyte, no longer have any active case of COVID-19.
Baybay City officials, however, asked its residents to continue to practice and observe all the minimum health protocols to ensure that it will remain COVID-free.
The city government has discarded the use of QR code for its people to enter business establishments. Instead, they were mandated to show their vaccination cards.
For its part, Ormoc City became COVID-free on Monday, a report from its City Health Office said.
Tacloban City, the capital of Eastern Visayas, still has 18 active cases.
The cities of Calbayog and Catbalogan, both in Samar province, have four and seven active cases, respectively.
