Bicol cops deploy humanitarian team to aid victims of Typhoon Odette

LEGAZPI CITY—The Bicol police on Monday (Dec. 20) sent a humanitarian team to conduct relief and rehabilitation work for the victims of Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai)  in Biliran province.

Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo, Bicol police chief, said the team, composed of 58 members of the Police Reactionary Standby Support Force (RSSF) onboard three trucks and two vans, left for Biliran on Monday morning for the humanitarian mission dubbed as “Oplan Tabang.”

The team brought 1,000 food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Bicol, 100 sacks of rice from the Bicol police, and P10,000 worth of goods to be distributed to affected residents of the island province.
