Partly cloudy skies, isolated rain showers expected on Sunday —Pagasa

Rainy Thursday likely in some parts of PH due to shear line, amihan – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail nationwide due to the easterlies and the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan,” according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The weather bureau said said that the amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers to the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.

The easterlies, meanwhile, will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country, including Metro Manila.

Pagasa added that no weather disturbance has been spotted or is being monitored inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

“Wala po tayong mino-monitor na low pressure area o bagyo sa loob ng ating PAR,” Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran said.

(We are not monitoring a low pressure area or tropical cyclone inside PAR.)

Further, no gale warning is raised over the country’s coastal waters.
