OLONGAPO CITY鈥揗ayor Crisostomo Garbo of Mabalacat City in Pampanga province has tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19 for the second time.
Garbo made public his health condition on Monday, Jan. 17, explaining that he contracted the viral disease despite strictly following health protocols.
鈥淏eing in the public service, I know that I am vulnerable to getting exposed to COVID-19 and I have accepted this challenge,鈥� Garbo said.
While in isolation, he said he was 鈥渇eeling better鈥� and 鈥渋n [a] good condition.鈥�
鈥淲hilst in quarantine, rest assured that I will continue to perform my duties remotely as a public servant in the best possible way,鈥� he said.
