3 nabbed in Calapan City drug buy-bust
CITY OF CALAPAN—Three men were arrested Thursday evening during a buy-bust operation in this city, said a report from the Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) police.
Rommel Vitto, 39; Rowena Nambio, 49; and Jovie Nambio, 52, were arrested at 7:45 p.m. after allegedly selling a sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) to a poseur-buyer for P2,000 in Barangay Lumangbayan.
Confiscated from the suspects, who were high-value targets, were suspected shabu weighing 12.77 grams valued at P86,836.
The suspects from Pinamalayan town are under police custody and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Mimaropa police had conducted 352 buy-bust operations, arrested 442 suspects, confiscated 1,633.767 grams of shabu valued at P10,894,670 since Jan. 1, according to the Philippine National Police Drug-Related Data Integration and Generation System.
