PNP logs zero new COVID-19 cases in Central Luzon

OLONGAPO CITY – For the first time since experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases early this year, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) recorded no new infections, data showed on Tuesday, Feb. 8.

The PRO3 health service said the number of active COVID-19 cases among police personnel in Central Luzon went down further to 22 after eight more recovered. Its active infections stood at 30 the previous day.

PRO3 registered 3,655 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 3,625 of these recovering. Its death toll remained at eight, with no new fatalities in previous days.

PRO3’s active cases peaked at 470 on Jan. 17. Its highest daily tally of new infections reached 94 on Jan. 12.
