LEGAZPI CITY––A local government employee was arrested Wednesday during a search operation in Cataingan town, Masbate province.

The Masbate police said authorities served a search warrant at 11:28 p.m. against Florian Abejero, 45, at his house in Barangay Poblacion.

They recovered 22 sachets or 80 grams of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P480,000, drug paraphernalia, and a .38-caliber revolver with six live bullets.

Abejero was a casual employee in the local government and a high-value target for illegal drugs in the province.
