The ruling Liberal Party in the first district of Oriental Mindoro is headed by Calapan Mayor Paulino Leachon, a top LP official said.
Ma. Gladys Cruz Sta. Rita, director general of LP, called on LP national headquarters in a Jan. 25 memorandum to correct an entry in a January 2011 publication that did not list Leachon as LP chair in the first district.
鈥淟eachon remains the duly appointed chair of the first district,鈥� the memorandum said.
In a statement, Leachon quoted Board Member Henry Bacurnay as saying it was an 鈥渉onest mistake.鈥�
