Tarlac 1st District Rep. Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco has passed away, his wife China announced Tuesday.

MANILA, Philippines — Tarlac 1st District Rep. Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco has passed away, his wife China announced Tuesday.

“It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform you that my husband, Claudia and Jaime’s father, Carlos ‘Charlie’ Cojuangco, has passed away,” China Jocson said in a Facebook post.

Jocson said details of the wake will be announced soon.

Before serving as representative of Tarlac’s first district, Cojuangco previously served as representative of the 4th district of Negros Occidental.

He was also the chairperson of the House committee on flagship programs and projects and the vice chairperson of the committee on appropriations.

Cojuangco is the son of former Tarlac governor and 1st district representative Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. who passed away in June 2020.
