NTF-Elcac lambasts Robredo camp: Stop insulting intelligence of Filipinos by denying pact with communists
MANILA, Philippines 鈥� The National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac) lambasted the camp of Vice President Leni Robredo on Monday, telling them to stop insulting Filipinos by denying a deal with the Communist Party of the Philippines, New Peoples Army, and the National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).
Robredo on Sunday quashed rumors linking her to the CPP and NPA, saying it is a lie.
鈥淰P Leni Robredo鈥檚 camp should stop insulting the intelligence of the Filipino people by pretending they have not made a pact with the devil, the communist terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF,鈥� NTF-Elcac spokesperson and Undersecretary Lorraine Marie Badoy said in a statement.
鈥淭he mere fact that no less than the founder of the this terrorist organization, Joma Sison tweeted his official endorsement of her is proof positive that this marriage made in the bowels of hell has been consummated,鈥� she continued.
Badoy likewise cited Makabayan bloc鈥檚 endorsement of Robredo, calling the group as 鈥渦rban operatives of the CPP NPA NDF.鈥�
鈥淭his endorsement comes straight from the Central Committee of the CPP鈥搕he authors of grief and suffering of the Filipino people 鈥� because the Kamatayan Bloc/KABAG are mere atsoys and atsays of the CPP who do the bidding of their terrorist bosses,鈥� she said.
鈥淪he has, in other words, formed a tactical alliance with these communist terrorists that is mutually beneficial to the both of them,鈥� added Badoy.
The spokesperson claimed that CPP operatives were spotted in Robredo鈥檚 Cavite campaign sortie.
Barry Gutierrez, Robredo鈥檚 spokesman, earlier noted that saying that there is 鈥渃ommunist infiltration鈥� is 鈥渂latant鈥� and 鈥減ersistent鈥� red-tagging.
Badoy said: 鈥淪he has also repeatedly used the term 鈥榬edtagging鈥� -a tool the CPP uses to silence those who speak the truth about their fronts despite the consistent verdict given by our courts of law-including our Supreme Court that there is no threat to life, liberty and security when one is identified as a member of the CPP NPA NDF.鈥欌��
According to Badoy, the vice president can redeem herself by standing 鈥渦nited with the people she has sworn to defend and protect鈥� and to publicly condemn the CPP NPA NDF and their atrocities.
She must also ask the Makabayan bloc to do the same, she said.
鈥淲e therefore await the Vice President鈥檚 public condemnation of the CPP NPA NDF and her open invitation for the KABAG to do the same.聽聽Otherwise we will rightfully conclude that she is not worthy of our trust and that she values the few votes the CPP NPA NDF claims they can give her far more than our lives and the lives of our children and the destiny of our country,鈥� said Badoy.
