His daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is running for vice president for the 2022 polls while his son Paolo Duterte is the incumbent representative of the 1st District of Davao City in the House of Representatives.

“Itong anak ko sa pangalawang asawa, OK naman ang nanay niya kasi nurse, nag-OFW (overseas Filipino workers) ‘yan sa Amerika, tapos umuwi,” Duterte added.

(My child with the second wife, her mother is OK because she’s a nurse, she was an OFW in America then came home.)

Duterte also took time in his speech to look back on what he had done as the country’s president.

“I am coming home, God willing. Kita ko, Pilipinas OK naman [From what I see, the Philippines is OK],” he added.

He recalled promising Filipinos he will uphold law and order, raising his “anger” towards the country’s illegal drug problem.

“Sabi ko law and order, droga, kasi galit talaga ako at ‘wag ka pumasok diyan kasi papatayin talaga kita. You destroy my country, you destroy the youth, I will destroy you. Galit talaga ako…Kaya kayong nakikinig diyan na nasa droga, drop it. Get out of the habit of addiction,” he said.

(I said law and order, drugs, because I am angry and don’t get into that because I will kill you. You destroy my country, you destroy the youth, I will destroy you. I am really angry…so those who are watching that are into drugs, drop it. Get out of the habit of addiction.)

He also mentioned the Universal Health Care Act that was signed under this term.

“Education, libre na ngayon. Irrigation ng mga farmers, infrastructure, makita naman ninyo,” Duterte also said.

(Education is free. The irrigation of farmers, infrastructure, you can see.)

“Kung saan ka magpunta, especially in Luzon…you can see the stretch of highways as far as your eyes can see,” he added.
