Robredo visits Bohol; recalls 2016 win vs Marcos Jr.
JAGNA, Bohol — Vice President and presidential candidate Leni Robredo on Friday, April 1, held a campaign sortie in Bohol which she said has a special place in her heart.
Robredo was with her running mate and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan and some senatoriables.
Rallies were held in three districts of Bohol. In Jagna, there were at least 3,000 supporters inside the town’s gymnasium.
Before she began her speech, supporters were chanting, “Hindi kami bayad! Hindi kami bayad! (We were not paid).”
Robredo expressed hopes that she will again win in Bohol.

Article continues after this advertisementIn the vice presidential race 2016, Robredo got 273,589 votes in Bohol while former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. got 79,729 votes.
She urged supporters to choose leaders who are “visible” not only during elections.
Robredo said she had visited Bohol for several projects through her Angat Buhay program. When Typhoon Odette (international name: Rai) devastated the province last Dec. 16, 2021, she visited the province the following day and came back twice.
After Jagna, Robredo and Pangilinan proceeded to Talibon town and the old Tagbilaran Airport for another rallies.
