ARGAO, Cebu — Presidential candidate Senator Panfilo Lascon remained undisturbed by his unchanged voter preference of 2 percent in the latest Pulse Asia survey, as he doubted the results of pre-election polls.

“I’m not disturbed by the surveys. Kasi sabi nga namin, lahat ng rallies na pinupuntahan namin, hindi lang rallies, yung direct engagement with the people. We’ll stick to that,” Lacson told reporters here when asked about the recent survey.

While he is undisturbed, Lacson still doubted the results of the pre-elections surveys, citing what he feels when they take their campaign to the people.

“I don’t believe it. Based on what we feel sa ground, kasi hindi naman kami nasa bahay lang at nanonood, kami mismo nagpupunta,” the presidential candidate said.

“Iba ang napi-feel namin sa ground actually kaysa sa lumalabas sa survey,” he added.

Despite this, Lacson reiterated he will not back out from the presidential race.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III, who is faring better in the surveys, in the second spot, agreed that there is a “really big difference” between the numbers on pre-election polls and on the ground.

“It’s different on the ground, really big difference. Let’s wait for other figures than just one or two survey companies. Kasi nga ang nangyayari parang gusto natin maniwala sa mind conditioning. Hindi maganda yun,” Sotto said.

“Will the people behind the mind conditioning be answerable to our countrymen na ang kahirapan ay pinagdudusahan pa rin?” he added.
