ACT-CIS, Ako Bicol, 1-Rider still dominate party-list contest
MANILA, Philippines — The latest partial and official tabulation of votes for party-list on Thursday showed that ACT-CIS, Ako Bicol, and 1-Rider were topping the race.
ACT-CIS or Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support was in the first spot, garnering 1,112,991 votes, followed by Ako Bicol with 513,403 votes and then 1-Rider with 453,712 votes
The second report from the Commission on Elections (Comelec), sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), also showed the following party-list groups in the top 15:
- 4Ps (427,779 votes)
- Ang Probinsyano (427,779 votes)
- Sagip (411,440 votes)
- Cibac (394,750 votes)
- Ako Bisaya (391,242 votes)
- Probinsyano Ako (380,119 votes)
- Tinggog (364,699 votes)
- Tutok to Win (344,746 votes)
- LPGMA (344,746 votes)
- Senior Citizens (301,660 votes)
- Agap (294,797 votes)
- Duterte Youth (285,098 votes)
Based on the partial and unofficial results from the Comelec’s transparency servers, however, disclosed that while ACT-CIS still leads the contest, Tingog was in the third place with 873,231 votes while Cibac was ranked 10th and Uswag Ilonggo with 677,916 votes was included in the top 15.
Several of the party-list groups in the top 15 may be assured of at least one seat in Congress, as the party-list system’s election provides at least one seat for parties securing at least two percent of the total votes cast. A maximum of three seats per party-list group is provided under the law.
