MANILA, Philippines鈥擳he Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Wednesday (June 15) opened a new route for buses bound for Davao City from the Para帽aque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in Para帽aque City.

The maiden trip of the bus on the new route left at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

One-way fare costs P3,680, which includes three ferry rides for the trip. Travel time may take three days and two nights, according to the LTFRB.

鈥淭he P3,680 is all in,鈥 said LTFRB executive director Tina Cassion, speaking in Filipino. 鈥淢eaning it includes Roro fares,鈥 Cassion said.

Davao Metro Shuttle, operator allowed on the bus route, offered a 50 percent discount in fare for its maiden trip on opening day.

The operator provided about 10 modern buses for the PITX to Davao route.
