2 dead, 1 hurt in Cavite shooting; love triangle eyed
LUCENA CITY—Two men died and another wounded seriously in a shooting incident Thursday in Naic town in Cavite province, which the police said was triggered by a love triangle.
In a report Friday, the Police Regional Office 4A identified the fatalities as Rico Mariscotes, 23, and Lennox Nuguid, 24.
The police said one of the suspects, John Zyrus Tafalla, planned the attack against John Aldy Bendijo, 24, after he learned that the latter had a love affair with his common-law wife.
At around 8 p.m., after a drinking session, Taffala and his cohorts—Joshua Mojica and Janiel Tafalla—blocked the motorcycle of Bendijo and the fatalities in Barangay Palangue 3.
The encounter resulted in a melee between the two groups and ended in a shooting incident that left Mariscotes and Nuguid dead before reaching the hospital in Trece Martires City.
