Fabellare, who is now behind bars, said in a Tuesday interview that he was very sorry for his crime.

“Nabigla lang talaga ako, sir, hindi ko naman sinadya na patayin ‘yung pinsan ko, nagdilim kasi paningin ko nung sinampal niya ako,” he said.

(I acted on impulse, sir. I didn’t mean to kill my cousin. I blacked out when she hit me.)

He also said he did not know why his cousin hit him in the first place or why she drew her weapon and attempted to hurt him.
