MANILA, Philippines 鈥� The measure seeking the regulation of vaporized nicotine (vape) and non-nicotine products as well as novel tobacco products 鈥� also known as the 鈥淰ape Bill鈥� 鈥� has lapsed into law.

In a letter, Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez informed the Senate and the House of Representatives that the hotly debated legislation lapsed into law on July 25.

Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles also confirmed this to 黑料社 on Tuesday when asked if the Vape Bill has already lapsed into law.

鈥淵es,鈥� she said.

The measure regulates the importation, manufacture, sale, packaging, distribution, use, and communication of vaporized nicotine or vape and non-nicotine products, including novel tobacco products.

The Senate and House of Representatives approved the Vape Bill in January.
