Over 13.1 million learners enroll for SY 2022-2023 so far

Over 13.1 million learners have so far enrolled for School Year (SY) 2022-2023 a week into the start of the enrollment period, the Department of Education (DepEd) said Tuesday.

MANILA, Philippines — Over 13.1 million learners have so far enrolled for School Year (SY) 2022-2023 a week into the start of the enrollment period, the Department of Education (DepEd) said Tuesday.

As of 7 a.m. on Tuesday, 6.1 million learners have enrolled for the elementary level; 4.2 million for junior high schools; 1.9 million for senior high school; and over 870,000 for kindergarten, DepEd said.

Calabarzon posted the highest number of enrollees so far with 1.9 million learners, followed by Metro Manila with 1.6 million enrollees.

Regions recording over 1 million enrollees include Central Luzon with 1.3 million and Western Visayas with over one million.

Enrollment for the incoming school year started on July 25 and will last until August 22.

Opening of classes is set on August 22.
