Olongapo City’s active COVID-19 cases fall below 20

OLONGAPO CITY — The remaining number of active COVID-19 cases in this city dropped further to below 20 on Tuesday, local health data showed.
Five patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the active infections down from 20 to 16, according to the city’s COVID-19 task force, which recorded one new case that day.
The latest resident to contract the viral disease is a 22-year-old woman from Barangay Kalaklan.
Data showed that as of Tuesday, nine of the 17 villages in the city remained without a single active COVID-19 case.
Since the pandemic broke out in 2020, the city has registered 7,391 COVID-19 cases.
