Teen stabbed to death, six minors held under custody

A 14-year-old male died after six fellow minors stabbed him in Quezon City.

MANILA, Philippines — A 14-year-old male died after six fellow minors stabbed him in Quezon City.

The unidentified victim, together with his friends, were walking in front of a supermarket in Brgy. Doña Imelda on Thursday night, when suddenly a group of male suspects allegedly appeared and stabbed the victim, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said on Friday.

He was immediately rushed to a hospital but was later declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.

Police operatives were able to obtain CCTV footage nearby the area which resulted in the identification of the six perpetrators. They were also positively identified by the witnesses who saw the incident.

A follow-up operation was conducted and police took custody of the identified minors.

The minors were turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, which coordinated with the City Social Welfare and Development for proper custody. Alyssa Joy Quevedo, ºÚÁÏÉç trainee
