2 Pampanga towns now COVID-free

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Two of the 21 localities in this province became free of COVID-19, the provincial epidemiology and surveillance unit disclosed on Thursday, Sept. 29.

It said Sasmuan and Santa Rita towns both have zero active cases.

As of Wednesday, the provincial government said Pampanga has 222
active COVID-19 cases.

It said the City of San Fernando has the most active cases at 86, followed by Floridablanca town with 35, and Lubao town with 15.

Pampanga has recorded 60,974 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of this figure, 58,091 had recovered, while 2,661 had died. INQ
