3 drug suspects fall in Taytay; P238,000 shabu seized

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three drug suspects on Sunday and seized some P238,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Taytay, Rizal.

Police anti-narcotics operatives from the Rizal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit collared Dennis Cortez, Luz Laguna and Andrew Aquino at around 1:15 a.m. after they sold a pack of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Sta. Ana, the Police Regional Office 4A said in a report.

Authorities seized from the suspects eight sachets of shabu weighing 35 grams.

Further investigation is being conducted to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

The suspects are under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
