Address ‘cost of living nightmare’ in PH — Imee Marcos
MANILA, Philippines — Senator Imee Marcos sees the need to address the cost of living in the Philippines, which she said has now turned into the “cost of living nightmare.”
In Friday’s Pandesal Forum, the senator was asked about her assessment of the first 100 days in office of her brother President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“So, siguro, ito na at aminin na natin talagang ‘yung expectations ay talagang nothing short of a miracle. So, I think we will be doing better very quickly,” Imee said.
(So, let us admit that the expectations are nothing short of a miracle.)
“But in the meantime, ito nga, harapin natin itong (let us face the) cost of living nightmare that’s really upon us,” she added.

“Siguro ang masasabi ko na lamang ay talagang nahihirapan ‘pagkat 31 million ang dapat pakinggan.
(Maybe what I can say is there is difficulty because he has to listen to 31 million people.)
“Sa dinami-dami naman ng sumuporta at tumangkilik at nagmahal ay talagang kailangang suriin nang maiigi, pakinggan nang isa-isa at gumawa ng desisyon,” Imee said.
(With all the support and love, he has to evaluate, listen to each one, before making a decision.)
Recently, other senators applauded the President’s first 100 days in office.
