2 dead, 1 hurt in motorcycle collision in Rizal

LUCENA CITY — Two riders died, and another one was injured, after their motorcycles collided in Baras town in Rizal province early Wednesday, Oct. 19.

The Police Regional Office 4A, said in a spot report that motorcyclist Rolando Jardio and his back-rider Elvira Abacahin were traveling at 1:10 a.m. along Manila East road in Barangay Evangelista when their vehicle collided head-on with another motorcycle driven by Jomas Villamor from the opposite direction.

The impact of the crash caused the three riders to suffer injuries. Abacahin and Villamor died on the spot, the police said. Jardio was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Further investigation is ongoing.
