The department also clarified that a year-end bonus is equivalent to an employee’s one-month basic pay as of October 31, while the cash gift worth P5,000 will be given to qualified government workers.

Under the rule, the year-end bonus and the cash gift will be given to qualified personnel or workers who have rendered at least a total or an aggregate of four months of service between January 1, 2022 to October 31, and that the employee is still with the government service as of October 31.
