Octa expects up to 1,200 new COVID-19 cases in PH on Dec. 7
MANILA, Philippines — The number of new COVID-19 cases in the country may reach up to 1,200 on Wednesday, December 7, independent pandemic monitor Octa Research Group has said.
Dr. Guido David, a fellow of Octa, noted that the Department of Health (DOH) reported 883 new cases, 20 deaths, and 1,160 recoveries in the country on December 6.
The new cases reflected a 12.6% nationwide positivity rate while active cases stood at 17,481.
“Expecting 1,000 to 1,200 cases tomorrow [Wednesday],” David said in a Twitter post late Tuesday night.

In a separate Twitter post on Wednesday, David said Metro Manila registered the most number of new COVID-19 cases with 315, followed by Cavite province with 55 cases, and Cebu with 46 cases.
