Pagasa: TD Rosal maintains strength while moving away from PH
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Rosal has maintained its strength while swirling away from the country, according to the

Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio on Sunday morning said Rosal was last located some 330 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora and outside the Philippine area of responsibility, with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
It maintained its strength as it moved north northeastward at 20 kph and is forecast to intensify into a tropical storm in the next 36 hours.
“Sa susunod na 24 oras, dahil sa amihan at bagyong Rosal, makakaasa tayo ng malakas na hangin sa Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, eastern portion of Isabela, Calaguas Islands at sa extreme northern portion ng Catanduanes,” said Aurelio.
(In the next 24 hours, due to the northeast monsoon and Tropical Depression Rosal, we can expect strong winds in Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, eastern portion of Isabela, Calaguas Islands and the extreme northern portion of Catanduanes.)

A gale warning is up over the seaboards of Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Pangasinan.
