MANILA, Philippines 鈥 Ariel Nepomuceno, former Deputy Commissioner for the Enforcement Group of the Bureau of Customs, is the new administrator of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
Malaca帽ang confirmed this on Wednesday as the Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) shared photos of Nepomuceno taking his oath of office before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
Nepomuceno was reappointed to the BOC by President Rodrigo Duterte on November 8, 2017, barely three months after he tendered his courtesy resignation to give way to the new leadership of Isidro Lape帽a, who succeeded as BOC commissioner after Nicanor Faeldon.

Nepomuceno resigned again from the agency in February 2018 to take care of his business and return to the private sector.
Nepomuceno was former Executive Officer of OCD in 2010-2011. He is a member of Philippine Military Academy Class of 1987. He is also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of the Philippines and holds an Executive MBA Degree from the Asian Institute of Management.
Aside from Nepomuceno, Malaca帽ang likewise confirmed the appointment of Angelito Magno and Glenn Ricarte as assistant directors of the National Bureau of Investigation.
Earlier, the OPS also announced the appointment of Richard 鈥淒ickie鈥 Bachmann as the new chairman of the Philippine Sports Commission, replacing Noli Eala, who sat at the agency鈥檚 helm for about four months.
