The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will pilot test automated elections in Dasmari帽as City, Cavite, and Quezon City for the upcoming barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections on Oct. 30. In Dasmari帽as City, the test sites are Barangay Zone II Poblacion with 1,458 total registered voters for the barangay and SK elections; and Barangay Paliparan III with 50,538 voters. In Quezon City, the test site is Barangay Pasong Tamo with 59,921 voters. The pilot testing of automated barangay and SK elections was the 鈥渄irect outcome of last Tuesday鈥檚 hearing conducted by the House committee on suffrage and electoral reforms,鈥� said Comelec spokesperson Rex Laudiangco. 鈥擠ONA Z.
