PH Navy in Southern Luzon welcomes new commander

LIGAO CITY — The Naval Forces Souther Luzon based in Legazpi City, Albay welcomed its new chief Commodore Joe Anthony Orbe in a command turn-over ceremony Thursday morning (March 2).

Orbe, who assumed his post in the presence of Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., flag officer in Command of Philippine Navy, was a graduate of Philippine Military Academy “Tanglaw-Diwa” Class of 1992 and the former chief of Offshore Combat Force.

Orbe replaced Commodore Alfonso Torres Jr., who will now be assigned in San Antonio, Zambales as commander of Naval Education and Training Command.
