Indian tries to rob Grab courier

Authorities nab an Indian national for attempting to rob a Grab delivery rider

Authorities collared an Indian national on Thursday for attempting to rob a Grab delivery rider and possessing an unregistered revolver with a defaced serial number.

The Quezon City Police District identified the suspect as Jagdeep Singh Brar, 30, and a resident of Barangay Batasan Hills.

The police said the victim, Teody Dichoso Jr., was waiting for a customer booking at a curb nearby when Brar held him up. But Dichoso managed to resist and run away.

The victim then hailed patrolling police officers who found and arrested Brar. The suspect said financial losses led him to commit the crime. —ABBY BOISER
